Daniel Foreman – Writer/Director/Key Creative

For the past ten years, my focus has been to use my energy and creative talents to create short films. I expect to release my first feature film in 2016. My interest in filmmaking took root when I created some music videos for bands that I played in. In 2003, I was hired as key grip for Halo, a feature motion picture directed by Gilbert Allan. In 2006, I took my first film class with the Film and Video Arts of Alberta Society (FAVA). The film I created through this class was a black and white short drama, The Christmas Wreath, shot using 16mm on a Bolex camera. This confirmed for me my desire to direct and make films.

So far, I have created music videos, films and videos, and participated on crews for several projects, as well as taken courses to develop my skills.
In addition to film making, I have written a children’s book, created visual art depicting my family’s heritage and I play acoustic and bass guitar.

Sharlene Millang – Actor/Producer

My training and background is in live theatre, mostly on stage but also back stage … even building sets! My first taste of film was on set with Ben Babchishen on his web series “Father Time is a Bastard” … from that moment, I was hooked! I joined Groove Soldier Productions and have had the pleasure of working with many Alberta filmmakers in a variety of capacities.

As I have developed relationships with film and theatre people, I have expanded my skill set to include TV production, web series, special effects, location manager, casting, unit production, editing and script editor.
I can hardly wait to see what the future holds!
